Degi Mutton Korma | Mutton Korma Recipe in Urdu | Shadiyon wala Mutton Korma

Ingredients:

  * 1/2 kg Mutton
  * 2 onions,browned
  * 1 cup Yogurt (Dahi)
  * 1.5 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  * 4 tbsp Yogurt
  * 2.5 tbsp Homemade Shan Korma Masala Powder(Link to recipe:https://everydaymasalacooking.com/lunch-recipes/korma-masala-powder-recipe-shan-korma-masala-recipe-bakra-eid-recipes-pakistani/)
  * 10-12 Almonds,blanched
  * 1/2 tsp Salt or as per taste if needed
  * Kewra Essence 1 drop dissolved in 1 tbsp water
  * 1 liter Water
  * Oil for cooking

Method:

  1. In a grinder grind the brown onions and blanched almonds together until they are fine.This may take 3-4 rounds of the grinder.
  2. In a pot heat the oil in which the onions were fried earlier until they were golden brown.
  3. Once the oil is hot add the homemade korma masala powder whose recipe is shown in our previous video.
  4. Fry for 1-2 mins.
  5. Now add in the ginger garlic paste.
  6. Saute for 2 mins.
  7. Now pour in 4 tbsp of yogurt.
  8. Mix well. Cook the mixture for 4-5 mins until oil rises on top.
  9. Now add in the mutton.
  10. Mix well and cook for another 10-12 mins until the mutton changes color and becomes hard and rigid and oil rises on top.
  11. Now add in 1 liter water .
  12. Cover and cook the mutton  for about 1 hour until it's tender.
  13. Meanwhile in a bowl mix the 1 cup yogurt  and grounded mixture of fried onions and almonds.
  14. After an hour uncover now add in the yogurt and grounded onion+almond mixture.
  15. Mix well .Cook for another 5 mins on medium flame.
  16. Now add in salt and kewra essence.
  17. Mix well.
  18. Now cover and cook on damm for another 5 mins.
  19. Delicious Korma is ready to serve.
  20. Serve with hot Naans/Taftans
