Mixed Dal Fry Recipe | Mix daal kaise banti hai | Mix Daal Recipe Pakistani

Mixed dal fry recipe. Delicious and nutritious mixed dal fry recipe. Made of chana dal,moong dal and masur daal.Topped with piaz and sabut mirchon ka tadka.Aik dam dhamakay daar mixed dal fry recipe.

Ingredients:

  * 100 g Moong ki daal,soaked
  * 100 g Chanay ki daal,soaked
  * 100 g Masur ki daal,soaked
  * 1 tbsp Garlic,crushed
  * 7-8 curry leaves
  * 2-3 Tomatoes,chopped
  * 1 large onion,sliced (half to be used for baghaar)
  * 1.5 tbsp Garam Masala,sabut
  * Salt as per taste
  * 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  * 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder
  * 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  * 1 tsp Red Chilli Flakes
  * 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  * 1/2 tsp Zeera Powder
  * 50 ml Oil
  * 8-10 Mint Leaves (for garnish)
  * Ginger,finely sliced(for garnish)
  * Green chillis,sliced in half(for ganish)
  * 3 Red Chillis,sabut(for baghaar)
  * 1/4 cup Fresh Coriander(for baghaar)
  * 500-700 ml water

Method:

  1. In a wok heat the oil.
  2. Once hot add in the onions.
  3. Fry for 1-2 mins until translucent.
  4. Now add in sabut garam masala.
  5. Fry for 4-5 mins.
  6. Next add in the curry leaves.
  7. Fry for another 2 mins.
  8. Now add in the garlic.Mix well.
  9. Fry for 2 mins.
  10. Now add in all the spices mentioned above (salt,pepper,garam masala powder,black pepper powder,zeera powder,red chilli flakes,red chilli powder,turmeric powder)
  11. Mix well.
  12. Bhun the masala for 3-4 mins.
  13. Now add in the tomatoes.
  14. Allow to cook for 5-6 mins while mixing.
  15. Now cover and cook for 4-5 mins until tomatoes have softened.
  16. Uncover and mix well ensuring tomatoes are soft.Now add in the mixed daal.
  17. Mix well and allow the daal to cook in the masala on medium flame for 7-8 mins.
  18. Now add in 500-600 ml water to the mixed dal fry mixture.
  19. Keeping flame on medium  allow  bubbles to form in the mixed dal fry mixture.
  20. Once mixture is bubbling Cover and cook for another 20-30 mins.
  21. Keeping flame on low heat.
  22. Uncover and add more water if you feel the daal is not yet soft.
  23. Cook for 15-20 mins until all the water has evaporated and daal is soft and tender.
  24. Now stir a bit to ghoat the daal mixture.

  26. Now we will add the tadka.
  27. Heat oil  in a frying pan.
  28. Fry onions until golden brown.
  29. Add them to the mixed dal fry mixture.
  30. In the same oil add the sabut red chillis,fresh coriander leaves and green chillis.
  31. Fry for 2-3 mins.
  32. Add the mixture to the mixed dal fry.
  33. Garnish with ginger slices.
  34. Serve with zeera rice or hot parathas.
